Gia Marasco is a graduate from DeGroote School of Business’ Health Services Management MBA, where she received the Allan J. Greve Award for highest academic standing. Building on her co-op work experiences at University Health Network and the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Gia began her career at Courtyard Group, a specialized healthcare consulting firm, where she was promoted several times over her seven years with the organization.

As a consultant, Gia had the opportunity to work and learn with leading healthcare organizations both in Ontario and across the United Kingdom.  Gia has extensive project management experience, leading successful initiatives related to performance measurement, evaluation and improvement with direct clinician engagement.  Her multi-faceted experience working with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, provincial agencies, hospitals, and community care access centres has strengthened her ability to develop strategies that are both innovative and practical.

In October 2010, Gia joined William Osler Health System (Osler) as a Policy and Communications Specialist, working closely with senior leadership to inform strategic decisions and re-position the Strategic Communications portfolio.  In April 2012 Gia was promoted to her current role and is responsible for supporting the development and communication of corporate strategies – ensuring organizational alignment.  Establishing a Corporate Strategy Development Office has been one of the many exciting challenges that Gia has taken on with vigor.  Her passion aligns with Osler’s Mission – to deliver safe and compassionate care – and her commitment to excellence support’s the organization’s ability to
