Somayeh is a doctoral candidate in Health Policy and Management under the supervision of Dr. Manaf Zargoush. She is interested in Healthcare Analytics, Aging Research, Data Analytics (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistical Modeling), Sequence/Trajectory Analytics, and Process Mining. Coming with a mathematical background, Somayeh became more interested in Mathematical Programming and pursued her master’s degree in industrial engineering focused on healthcare optimization. Before starting her graduate studies at the DeGroote School of Business, she worked in different healthcare R&D centers for more than six years. She has contributed to designing and implementing healthcare software systems, process-oriented systems, analytical dashboards for health management, data communications, and healthcare protocols.
