Ali joined the PhD program in September 2018. Prior to this, she worked in recruitment in the public sector where she supported full-cycle recruitment and selection for both union and non-union roles. She completed her Master’s in Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and HR from the University of Toronto. Ali is currently studying the experiences of workers in the gig economy and is interested in further exploring the impact of non-standard employment arrangements (e.g., holding multiple jobs) on worker attitudes and well-being.
