Jodie joined the DeGroote PhD program in September 2016. Her primary research interests are in Governance of Artificial Intelligence, Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Human Resources and High Performance Work Systems, and deployment of Digital Literacy, especially in the under served sectors.

Jodie Lobana is an award-winning Management Consultant, Educator, Author, and an accomplished Director, with an integrated experience in the areas of Governance of Artificial Intelligence and other Information Technologies, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Project Management, Human Resources, Finance & Leadership.

Jodie has more than 20 years of work experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management and Governance arenas. She has worked with prestigious organizations such as United Nations Development Programme, Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, KPMG, PwC, Kraft Canada, and Bank of Montreal. Jodie has provided services to more than 50 national and multi-national organizations in North America. Further, she has travelled to 40 countries and worked in 7 countries.

Jodie is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at York University in Canada teaching Governance of Information Technology. In addition, she has taught “Accounting Information Systems” course at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Jodie has developed and taught a soft Leadership course at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (“IIT”) in India with an exceptional instructor rating of 5/5.
