McMaster World Congress through your eyes: Attendees share tweets, photos

The 2017 McMaster World Congress was held in CIBC Hall last week, and participants captured all of the excitement on social media.

Launched in 1978 as a way to unite the student body with industry professionals, it has since become one of the most popular and well-attended annual events on campus. Through informative presentations and speaker sessions, the event helps student delegates better understand how to adapt to real-world situations while socializing and networking with each other.

This year’s theme was Sports Management & Analytics, and guest speakers included the likes of Matt Afinec, Executive Vice President, Business Operations, Hamilton Tiger-Cats; Ron Foxcroft, Chairman, Founder & CEO of Fox 40 International; Chris Shewfelt, Senior Director Global Partnership, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment; and Bill Manning, President, Toronto FC; among many others. McMaster’s own Glen Grunwald, Director, Athletics & Recreation, was also on hand to deliver a presentation.

Below, attendees and guest speakers share their top photos and tweets from the two-day affair:
