Dr. Zhu’s research mainly focuses on the role of social networks in shaping firm strategy and performance. In particular, Dr. Zhu is interested in the dynamics and impacts of business-government relationships as well as interorganizational ties on firms in emerging economies.

Professional Activities
Dr. Zhu’s research has been published in leading journals such as the Strategic Management Journal. She is a member of the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, and the International Association for Chinese Management Research. She is also an ad hoc reviewer for Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Research, and Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. She teaches International Business (undergraduate).
