Graduate diploma
The DeGroote School of Business offers a graduate diploma in Management of Innovation and New Technology which is intended for those who have completed at least the first year of an MBA program.

MINT, the Management of Innovation and New Technology program, is about two of the principal drivers of business success: technology and innovation. Firms that have mastered general capabilities for innovation and/or use technology in innovative ways are revolutionizing how business is done. This graduate diploma provides an opportunity for managers and students to pursue these important themes at an advanced level that builds on their already completed academic accomplishments in business. All of the courses are taken in classes with advanced level MBA students.
Graduate Diploma in the Management of Innovation and New Technology
The Graduate Diploma provides an overview of MINT and an opportunity to study selected topics in the field in more depth. The program consists of one required course which provides an overview and three elective courses which provide the opportunity to study selected topics.

Admission Criteria
- In order to apply, students
must contact the MBA admissions and recruiting team at mbaadmissions@mcmaster.ca or must be admissible to the DeGroote School of Business MBA with advanced credit for Year One.
Applications from international students will be looked at on a case-by-case basis to establish equivalencies. - Successful applicants must be proficient in English. If the applicant does not hold a post-secondary degree from a program whose language of instruction was English, a satisfactory TOEFL score will be required. Other evidence of proficiency in English (such as letters from an employer and/or educator) will also be considered.

- A completed application form (pdf)
- A current resume
- Original transcripts for all degrees and diplomas previously completed or in which the applicant is currently registered
- Proof of proficiency in English, if applicable
- The application fee is $150.00 (Cdn)
The application deadline for entry is June 15.
Tuition Fees
Students will be assessed fees equal to the per-course MBA tuition fees.
Program Duration
Students may do the program on a full-time basis or a part-time basis. For the full-time program, four courses would normally be done in the fall term or in the winter term for the graduate diploma. Part-time students may take up to two years to complete the graduate diploma.
Requirements for Completion
Students must achieve a grade point average of 5.0 (B) in order to receive the diploma.
