Student profile

Umar Butt is a third year PhD student in finance and an international student from Pakistan. His research interests lie in the field of real options and corporate governance.
Previously earning his MBA from West Texas A&M University, Butt chose to return to academia after teaching university for five years in Pakistan. He found becoming a student slightly challenging after his experience being the instructor for so many years.
“Deciding to go back to university is a challenging decision,” he explains. “You need to decide if more education will aid you in your future.“
