Respected leader within the governance community. Background in raising capital and providing solid returns for investors. Experience as a corporate director of public, private, not-for-profit & crown corporations. Innate ability to see and understand operations and the interconnectivity of people and business by being able to relate to stakeholders at all levels.

Karen Belaire MBA, CPA, CGA, Chief Executive Officer, SSW Shared Services West

Karen is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Shared Services West. Karen has held such roles as the Chief Operating Officer at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Chief Operating Officer at the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London, the Vice President Administration for McMaster University and the Vice President of Finance and Administration for St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton and Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.

Karen values governance and the role of the Board. Having completed the Conference Board of Canada/DeGroote School of Business Directors College, she is a Chartered Director (C. Dir.), and her board experience includes CIMTEC, Trillium Gift of Life Network, CSii, HSCN, Kids Health Links Foundation, St. Joseph’s Health System (International Outreach Programs), Horizon Utilities, Theatre Aquarius, St. Peter’s Hospital, McMaster Innovation Park, Gore District Land Trust, McMaster Museum of Art, and CAA Southwestern Ontario.

Deborah Rosati FCPA, FCA, ICD.D, Corporate Director, Co-founder, Women Get On Board

Deborah Rosati is an accomplished corporate director, entrepreneur, Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) and certified Corporate Director (ICD.D) with more than 30 years of experience in technology, consumer and retail, and private equity and venture capital. An experienced audit committee chair, Deborah provides extensive knowledge as a Corporate Director in the areas of financial and enterprise risk management, corporate strategy, transformational changes, M&A, corporate governance and CEO & board succession planning.

Janice Detta-Colli, Founder, Board Flight Paths

Drawing from academia, management consulting and global executive recruiting, Janice Detta Colli has leveraged over 20 years of boardroom experience to create Board Flight Paths.  She assists directors in corporate, private and not-for-profit sectors with board recruitment and highly sensitive, complex, group dynamic issues. For executives, she constructs  the strategic framework to help them grow their board career or to land their first board seat.  Janice designed and delivers the “Take Your Seat” program for the Directors College, built to offer a set of professional “how to’s” and the tools needed for professionals to take their seat at the board table.
