Gordon Pitts is the Business Writer-in-Residence at DeGroote School of Business. Gordon is also an author, public speaker and business journalist, with a focus on management, strategy, and leadership. A veteran of 36 years as a business journalist, he is currently a senior writer for the Globe and Mail in the Report on Business section.
Elkafi Hassini is an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the DeGroote School of Business. Professor Hassini specializes in supply chain design and optimization. His current research interests include big data supply chain analytics, supply chain risk management, sustainability performance measurement and strategic procurement. His research has been recognized through best paper awards and the faculty researcher of the year award.
April Harbottle Bcom ’83 is an experienced data management consultant engaged in helping organizations build out their Business Transformation programs through data-driven solutions. April led the creation of the foundation infrastructure for Data Governance for Global Risk Management at Scotiabank, and an Enterprise Information Management framework at Canadian Western Bank.
Alauddin Ahmed is a Managing Consultant at ValueInfinity Inc. which is a consulting company that specializes in Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Global Manufacturing. Alauddin has worked with major management consulting firm Accenture, in the Supply Chain and Asset Management Area, TATA Consultancy Services Japan in leadership positions managing, consulting and business development in manufacturing, Unilever in Production and Engineering department, and i2 Technologies in Supply Chain Consulting.
Sourav Ray is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the DeGroote School of Business. Dr. Sourav Ray’s expertise is in Industrial and Retail Marketing strategies with specific research interests in Strategic Pricing and Distribution Channel issues. Recent topics of his research include dynamic pricing in the grocery retail sector, product marketing practices in high-tech markets, and implications of Big Data for managing distribution channels. Dr. Ray has consulted for a broad range of client firms on strategic marketing issues.
