Join us for a discussion with Tanya Walker, BCom ’02, Lawyer, Walker Law and Jordan Routliff, Associate Lawyer, Walker Law, about how the pandemic has impacted negotiation practices.

In the wake of the pandemic, our conventional wisdom regarding negotiation strategies are being challenged. This webinar will provide tips on how to negotiate when circumstances are constantly changing. It will discuss legal terms you should consider when negotiating an agreement in an uncertain environment. By the end of the webinar, you should have some foundational tools that will help you now and in the future.

Panelists

Tanya Walker, BCom ’02, Lawyer, Walker Law

Tanya is a trial lawyer that graduated from McMaster University in 2002 with an Honours Commerce degree, minoring in Economics. She then attended Osgoode Hall Law School and received her law license in 2005. She was called to the bar in 2006. Tanya practiced at two Bay Street firms before opening Walker Law, which specializes in the area of commercial litigation. She has settled hundreds of cases and has argued at various levels of court, including the Court of Appeal. From 2014 to 2016 Tanya was a member of the McMaster Alumni Board. Tanya has been the recipient of multiple awards including the McMaster Arch Award in 2017. She appears regularly on national television stations such as CityTV, CBC and CTV as a legal analyst.

Jordan Routliff, Associate Lawyer, Walker Law

Jordan received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018 and was called to the Bar in 2019. Prior to law school, Jordan obtained a Bachelor’s of Fine Art (B.F.A.) and worked for several years as a Technical Director and Account Manager in the live entertainment industry. Jordan’s practice focuses primarily on property law.
