Description

The Michael G. DeGroote Health Leadership Academy is proud to host Hartley Jafine as he discusses the use of theatre arts in healthcare.

It’s important for healthcare professionals to understand a patient’s perspective, as opposed to seeing them as ‘just another case.’ Through theatre and play, we can humanize healthcare education and its processes in order to improve treatment and recovery. Developing life skills through theatre arts can lead to better health leaders.

Mr. Jafine is an instructor in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program and Arts & Science program at McMaster University.

More information about the event and Mr. Jafine is available on the HLA website.
