Chuanqian joined the PhD program in September 2010. His research focuses on corporate finance such as capital budgeting, investment and cash policy, agency conflicts, debt structure and real options. He also has various teaching assistant and session tutor experiences for both undergraduate and graduate level courses. He will be on the job market during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Before joining the PhD program, Chuanqian spent several years researching numerical modelling of nano-scale magnetic-thermo dynamic heat transfer for next-generation cancer therapy collaborating with UAB Medical Center sponsored by NSF and NIH.
