Somayeh is a doctoral student in Health Management in the area of Health Policy and Management, under the supervision of Dr. Manaf Zargoush. She is interested in Machine Learning, Big Data, Knowledge Discovery, Personalize Medicine, and Medical Decision Making. Coming with mathematical background, Somayeh became more interested in Mathematical Programming and pursued her master’s degree in industrial engineering focused on healthcare optimization. Before starting her graduate studies at the DeGroote School of Business, she worked in different healthcare R&D centers, for more than 6 years. She has contributed to the design and implementation of healthcare software systems, process-oriented systems, analytical dashboards for health management, data communications, and healthcare protocols.
