If you are in the home stretch and wrapping up your final academic term in April, below is important information for your review:

What you need to know:

  • You no longer need to ‘Apply for Graduation”. We will be updating your status in Mosaic to reflect “Eligible to Graduate” before the end of the Winter term.
  • Once all grades for the term are posted, your Academic Advisors will begin a manual academic review of each student and will update to status to “Cleared to Graduate” by the end of May.
  • Students that require proof of graduation may request a degree completion letter as soon as they see all final grades posted in Mosaic.  Please request the letter by sending an email to and be sure to include your full name and student number. We will review your academic record and send you a PDF of the requested letter within two business days.
  • Please continue to monitor your McMaster email account through the Winter and Spring as the Registrar’s Office will be sending important information related to the convocation ceremony, final transcripts and degrees.

More information about obtaining transcripts, ceremony details and other information can be found on McMaster’s Office of the Registrar’s website.
