Are You Ready to Graduate in April?

| March 2, 2021

If you are in the home stretch and wrapping up your final academic term in April, below is important information for your review:

What you need to know:

  • You no longer need to ‘Apply for Graduation”. We will be updating your status in Mosaic to reflect “Eligible to Graduate” before the end of the Winter term.
  • Once all grades for the term are posted, your Academic Advisors will begin a manual academic review of each student and will update to status to “Cleared to Graduate” by the end of May.
  • Students that require proof of graduation may request a degree completion letter as soon as they see all final grades posted in Mosaic.  Please request the letter by sending an email to askmba@mcmaster.ca and be sure to include your full name and student number. We will review your academic record and send you a PDF of the requested letter within two business days.
  • Please continue to monitor your McMaster email account through the Winter and Spring as the Registrar’s Office will be sending important information related to the convocation ceremony, final transcripts and degrees.

More information about obtaining transcripts, ceremony details and other information can be found on McMaster’s Office of the Registrar’s website.

  1. Shelly Cahill says:

When is convocation for students who completed the MBA co-op program in December 2021? Will graduation be virtual? Is there a ring that is given to MBA students who graduate?

    1. Keane, Meagan says:

      Hello Shelly,
Students completing their degree requirements in December and April will convocate on June 14th. We have not yet been advised of the time. Convocation ceremonies at McMaster are managed centrally by the Office of the Registrar and details have not been finalized yet as they are awaiting a decision on in-person, virtual or hybrid.
Full-time and Co-op MBA students are charged a fee during their academic terms to cover the costs of the MBA ring. Part-time students do not participate in this initiative. Questions regarding the ring, delivery options and sizing appointments can be directed to the MBAA student association.

Please continue to check your McMaster email account (including junk/spam folders) for emails from the Registrar’s Office and School of Graduate Studies. You can also keep an eye on their website linked above.

      Thanks,
