DeGroote Data Science Summer Program | Register by May 10

DeGroote’s Data Science Summer Program is here! You can choose between 1, 2, 3, or 4 virtual, evening (and one weekend) courses designed to build skills in data science and machine learning. You have the option to write the certification exams, or simply attend the course(s) to build your knowledge and skills. Read this post, including the FAQs below, for more information before registering.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, May 10 at 11:59 p.m. (ET) and seats are limited.

Course information and sequencing:

DP900 Microsoft Data Fundamentals

SAS Analytics and Machine Learning (pre-requisite: DP900)

• Dates: June 6 – 9 AND June 13 – 16 (inclusive) 
• Time: 6 – 9 p.m. (ET) each day

Machine Learning and AI for Business (pre-requisite: DP900)

 FAQs:  

1. Who is eligible to complete these courses? MBA students and undergraduate commerce students (level 3 and above) in good academic standing. Priority is given to current students who are continuing their program in the Fall 2022 term. Students graduating in June can register but may be placed on the waitlist. We will monitor enrolment and confirm your registration status one week before the program starts.
2. What should I do if the course is full? Join the waitlist. We are watching registration closely and will reach out to you if a space opens up.
3. I registered for SAS Analytics and Machine Learning, but could only get on the waitlist for DP900 Microsoft Data Fundamentals, which is a pre-requisite. What should I do? Stay on the waitlist. We will review registration and reach out to anyone in this position.
4. What is the cost of these courses? DeGroote is offering these courses and associated licences free of charge, saving you $900 to $2,700 per course! Note: optional certification exam fees for DP900 and DP100 are not covered by DeGroote.
5. What if I register for a course without registering for its pre-requisite? You can register for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 courses. But if you are not also registered for the pre-requisites, your registration will be cancelled.
6. The pre-requisites listed above are different than the pre-requisites found in the course outlines. What should I follow? Follow the information shared above. These courses are intended to build on each other. Your options for registering for 1, 2, 3, or 4 courses are:
