DeGroote’s Analytical Insights (DAI) is continuing the “Why Data Analytics” miniseries this month with the next workshop, an Accounting-focused workshop to show students why learning Data Analytics is important for a potential future in accounting.

This workshop will feature guest speaker Marty Murray, the Management Consulting Leader at Protiviti, with over 17 years of professional experience. You are not going to want to miss him delving into various aspects of just how important Data Analytics has become to the Accounting Industry.

Workshop discussion topics:

  • The role descriptive analytics plays in the categorization and classification of information
  • How diagnostic analytics are used to monitor changes in data
  • How accountants rely on predictive analytics
  • And many other interesting topics!

This is the second workshop in DAI’s month of workshops focusing on the importance of data analytics across business industries like Human Resources, Accounting, and Marketing. Students are encouraged to check out all of these events as they all have interesting information about current trends and relevant information surrounding Data Analytics in the business sphere. Every single event is going to have a fantastic guest speaker who will be able to discuss the value of Data Analytics in their own professional sector.
