Do I Contact Student Services (Registrar’s Office) or Student Experience?

| September 3, 2020
Submitted by Alexis Maynard for Student Experience - Academic

As the University continues to evolve and grow the number of services available to support McMaster students – two of which are Student Services and the Student Experience teams – many students ask us, “what are the differences between these services?” and “who am I supposed to contact for what?”.

Please bookmark and reference this handy chart before reaching out to either team:

Student Services (Registrar’s Office):

The McMaster Student Services team operates under the Office of the Registrar and are made up of a talented group of Student Services Professionals.

DeGroote’s Student Experience (SE) Team

The SE team is made up of both Academic and Career & Professional Development (CPD) team members, who work together to provide you with the best possible student experience, support and resources.

Have questions, or are still not sure who to ask? Alexis and Karina at buscom@mcmaster.ca are happy to help you navigate University services and re-direct you if necessary during this unprecedented time.

Important Reminder: When sending an email to buscom@mcmaster.ca please always make sure to use your McMaster email and include your full name and student ID number. Failure to do so may cause delays in receiving a response from our team.
