As the term progresses, it’s important to pay attention to your health and wellness. If you’re feeling overwhelmed there are many places to turn for help, including counselling, medical care and wellness education.

  • If you need support, you can reach out to DeGroote’s part-time Wellness Counsellor, Brenda Scott. Make an appointment via email or text 905-334-9605.
  • Want to talk to someone over the phone? Call Good2Talk, a free and confidential helpline that provides professional counselling and referrals for mental health, addictions and well-being to post-secondary students in Ontario 24/7, 365 days a year. Call 1-866-925-5454 or dial 211 and ask to be connected to Good2Talk.
  • Hamilton’s Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST) is another free, professional and confidential support service. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis in Hamilton, please call 905-972-8338.
  • Take a moment to review our list of mental health supports and resources.
