McMaster Time Zone ‘Falls Back’ One Hour This Weekend

| October 29, 2020
Submitted by Sandra Clark

McMaster University will be moving out of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, November 1, which means the time zone McMaster operates in will turn back one hour.

What you need to know:

  • If you are in a different time zone, this may affect the timing of your classes (and exams for MBA students) starting Monday, November 2.
  • If you use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to determine your class and exam times, this means McMaster is moving from UTC -4 to UTC -5.
  • If you are unsure of how this affects you, you can use theĀ  Time Zone Converter
