Pitching In For Charity is Back! | Deadline Extension: Jan. 18
If you had the chance to win up to $5000 for a local charity, would you take it?
One of the most cherished events of the year, the DeGroote Pitching In For Charity event gives MBA students the opportunity to be paired with a local charity to create a 7-minute pitch on their behalf for what they could do with $5,000.
Whether you’re thinking ‘yes!’ or simply want to learn more, check out this short video to hear why you should take the plunge and sign up.
How it works:
- The COVID-19 pandemic has hit many not-for-profit organizations especially hard this year. Your group will connect with the charity, learn about the challenges they’re facing, and record a 7 minute pitch that covers a creative solution that the charity could implement immediately, and how that solution could be further enhanced if they won the $5,000.
- This is your opportunity to refine your creative problem solving and pitching skills with a cash prize at stake that can make a real difference for these charities.
- This year, you’ll be able to sign up either with your own group of 3-4 students, or, as an individual student if you’d like us to pair you with other students who sign up. This virtual, asynchronous event is open to all MBA students, whether you’ve participated in the competition before or not.
- Instead of a live day of pitches, your group will record and submit a video that will be brought to a panel of judges to decide what charity takes home the top prize of $5,000!
Ready to sign up? Have one representative for your group submit this form by Monday, January 18 at 11:59pm. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
