How to request accommodation for Academic Obligations

Bring a completed RISO form to the Student Experience office (DSB 112) within 10 working days from the start of the semester in which the accommodation is necessary. For observances for which specific dates/details are not known in advance, inform your Faculty Office of the potential conflict. You may obtain a RISO form online, or in the Student Experience Office in DSB 112.

Your Faculty Office will notify you and your instructor that the request has been approved within 5 working days after submission. You must contact your instructor to work out the details of your accommodation at least 5 working days before the date of the conflict.

Learn more about RISO accommodations on the RISO Student Fact Sheet.

Any questions about potential conflicts or missed coursework can be discussed at the Student Experience Office (DSB 112) or emailed to
