Welcome to the Winter 2022 Term: A Message from Jennifer McCleary, Director, Student Experience

Welcome to a new year – 2022! I hope you enjoyed the well-deserved holiday break with family and those closest to you and are feeling recharged in anticipation of the academic term ahead.

As we begin a new year and the Winter 2022 term, I want to take a moment to recognize you, our MBA students. Your adaptability and strength over the past 21 months continue to inspire me. I know it is not easy. It’s hard work to show up every day with your best self. To learn. To share. To grow.

While the global landscape continues to evolve, we recognize there may be challenges for our community. Be kind. Show empathy. Be generous. Continue to support one another, leaning into vast array of resources when you need them. We are here to support you every step of the way.

When we return to in-person learning in just a few short weeks, I encourage you to drop by my office (in the Student Experience Office – RJC 333) to say hello, share your achievements or simply to have a conversation. As always, if you have any suggestions or ideas to better the student experience at DeGroote, please reach out at any time: jmcclea@mcmaster.ca.

Here’s to better, brighter 2022 – a year of rediscovering the joy of community, in-person at the Ron Joyce Centre.

Warm Regards,

Jennifer McCleary
