Afif joined the PhD program at the DeGroote School of Business in September 2014. Afif’s research interests lie in exploring identity dynamics, self-expression, and representation of the self at work. In particular, Afif is interested in understanding how implicit biases towards employees who do not conform to traditional images influence their career progression and attainment of leadership positions. Prior to starting the program, Afif worked in consulting on a portfolio of health care reform projects in the USA.
