Javid joined the Ph.D. program at the DeGroote School of Business in September 2019. His primary
research interests revolve around entrepreneurial failure and entrepreneurial ingenuity. He is interested in
studying how entrepreneurs create value and innovative new ventures within structural and resource
constraints using creative problem solving, especially in times of crisis.

Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, Javid worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Amirkabir University of Technology, where he handled and participated in multiple research studies. He has delved into diverse knowledge areas such as brain drain, psychological capital, glass ceilings, entrepreneurial motivation, and leadership & followership styles. He also has a strong professional background in HR consultancy and teaching.
