Submitted by Greg Rombough for Student Experience

In collaboration with the faculties of Business and Humanities, Hollywood Director, Writer and Producer (and McMaster alumnus!), Harris Goldberg, has developed four new courses that explore the  business side of entertainment:

This Fall, Harris will be teaching;

  • THTRFLM 1FT3 – Breaking into Film and Television
  • THTRFLM 2J03 – The Business of Acting in Film and Television

In Winter, Harris will be teaching;

  • COMMERCE 3J03 – The Business of Entertainment
    • Will prepare and equip students with practical tools and a realistic understanding of why every business needs to think like an entertainment company. Students will learn to successfully identify and navigate ‘real life’ obstacles using imaginative modes of creativity specific to the entertainment industry.
  • THTRFLM 2JJ3 – The Business of Writing in Film and Television

If you are interested, you can enroll in these courses in Mosaic. There are reserved seats for DeGroote students in each of the the courses.

Reminder: The last days for enrollment and changes are:

  • Winter term: Thursday, January 14, 2021
