Planning to study abroad? McMaster offers Travel and Exchange scholarships to help you make the most of your learning experience. You don’t have to have been approved for travel or exchange to apply for scholarships now!

McMaster Travel and Exchange Awards are broken down into the following categories:

  • Travel Awards:
    • Apply if you’re participating in the McMaster Exchange Program or another type of global experience (research, internship, language study, etc.).
  • Exchange Awards:
    • Apply if you’re going on a formal exchange through the McMaster Exchange Program only. You should still apply even if you won’t know where you are nominated to by the deadline (or second deadline exchange applications).
  • Exchange Bursaries:
    • Apply only to formal exchange through the McMaster Exchange Program. Apply by March 29, 2024, if you’re traveling Fall 2024/Winter 2025 or Spring/Summer 2024.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Login to AwardSpring using your McMaster email and password to access hundreds of scholarships.
  2. If you haven’t already, complete the quick General Application in AwardSpring to automatically match with awards you qualify for.
  3. Go to the “Dashboard” and select the Travel and Exchange scholarships from the “Follow-ups” section.
  4. Complete and submit the follow-ups before the March 29 deadline.
  5. Check out other awards your eligible for in your dashboard.
