We surveyed our incoming cohort of first-year Commerce students to find out what they were anxious about for the new semester.

Click here to watch Jennifer McCleary, DeGroote’s Director of Student Experience, give a warm DeGroote welcome to both incoming students and their parents, and share her thoughts about:

  • The current climate and the upcoming virtual fall term
  • How this data we gathered is being used to develop new initiatives to help ease students into an exceptional first-year experience (inside and outside of the classroom!)
  • How our Associate Dean, Sue McCracken and faculty are ensuring that DeGroote’s curriculum learning experience is top notch
  • An overview of virtual Welcome Week and the technology used throughout the year
  • First-year Orientation (FYO)
  • Continuing support and resources
