Make a difference in the Hamilton community, providing much-needed support while connecting with other McMaster students and supporting each other! CVC has many weekly volunteer group openings to choose from, serving recent immigrant youth, children, adults with disabilities, underserved youth, and more.

Groups with a high need for volunteers are:

  • LAF (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 2:45 – 5:50 p.m.)
    • Mentor underserved kids (Grades 1-8) in small groups and one-on-one using creative and fun tools to assist with financial literacy activities, homework completion, and social skills.
  • Pathways to Education (Wednesdays or Thursdays from 4:00 – 7:20 p.m.)
    • Tutor high school students through homework assignments, studying, social engagement and conversation. Volunteers must be 18 or older, and a strong proficiency in English is required.

Visit our website to learn more and sign up for a weekly volunteer group.

Please also consider telling your friends and helping us spread the word – groups start this coming week!
