First Year Orientation Program Mentor Applications Due Sunday

DeGroote’s First Year Orientation Program, known as FYOP, is a mentorship program that is built on connecting incoming first year students with upper year Mentors. The goal of the program is to ensure first year students are supported by the DeGroote community in their transition to university.

What you need to know:

  • FYOP is looking for approximately 125 to 150 upper year students who are interested in mentoring incoming first year students
  • Each Mentor will be assigned 1 to 3 Mentees, based on availability
  • As an FYOP Mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to support and motivate first year students as they make the transition to university life at DeGroote
  • Application deadline: Sunday, August 22 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT)
