Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan: Financial Literacy Seminar | February 24

As part of Black History Month celebrations at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and keeping with the theme of Black Health and Wellness, you are invited to join HOOPP for a discussion on Why Financial Literacy = Financial Wellness.

Organized by HOOPP’s BLACK Employee Resource Group and in collaboration with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA), HOOPPs virtual seminar on financial literacy acknowledges the disparities faced by people from racialized communities and is aimed at youth and anyone willing to learn about financial wellness. Learn the building blocks to stay in the black with your finances.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • How credit works
  • Good debt vs bad debt
  • What you need to know about credit ratings
  • And much moreā€¦

This event is open to all students from all diverse backgrounds.
