Last day to withdraw from a Winter 2023 course | March 17

| March 15, 2023
Submitted by Bani Rafeh for DSB PhD

The last day to withdraw from a winter course is Friday, March 17. So, what happens if you withdraw from a course by the March 17 deadline?

  • The course remains on your student record as “withdrawn” (W) and is subject to cancellation fees.
  • The course is excluded from the calculation of your cumulative GPA.

And what happens if you don’t withdraw by March 17?

  • You will remain enrolled, whether or not you fulfill any further academic obligations.
  • A final grade will be assigned.

Keep in mind, all courses on a student’s record after March 17 will require a grade. Exceptions require submission of an In-Program Request Form. Graduate programs may establish earlier deadlines for completion of coursework and may prescribe penalties for late completion of work and for failure to complete work, provided that these penalties are announced at the time the instructor makes known to the class the methods by which student performance shall be evaluated.
