Submitted by Leah Fleet for Marketing & Community Engagement

DeGroote MBA and EMBA alumni and current students are invited to join their fellow alumni and faculty for an evening of comedy and connecting with friends — from home!

The DeGroote school of business is hosting a virtual MBA Alumni Networking Reception with special guest, comedian Jon Selig, MBA ’99. Jon will kick off the evening with a fun and engaging keynote presentation that will include jokes from his stand-up act. Attendees will get the opportunity to participate in a joke-writing workshop where you will connect with other attendees and have the opportunity to learn:

  • How & why, crafted (tasteful) humor can help us demonstrate credibility and build trust.
  • The series of steps associated with writing a joke.
  • How to write a joke about a pre-determined topic.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to connect and network with fellow alumni through breakout rooms should they wish to participate.

Event Details:

  • Thursday, February 4
  • 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. (EST)
