Submitted by Karina Almeida for Student Experience - Academic

The BCom Academic team is part of a larger DeGroote Student Experience team that you will get to know during your time in the program. We can assist you with program options, course selection, missed coursework, experiential opportunities, and more!

Meet Lori Hill, Academic Advisor:

What do you do and how long have you been at DSB? I provide students with information pertaining to the Commerce and IBH Programs, courses and university regulations, in order to help them navigate through their academics to successful completion of their degree. I am passionate about what I do and have over 30 years of experience at McMaster and have been advising in the School of Business for 20 years.

What is the best piece of advice you would give a new student? Know that everyone here in the Student Experience Team is here to help you in any way possible throughout your academic career with us!

What is your favourite Hamilton location to visit or restaurant to eat at? I love to walk up and down James Street North and visit all the unique shops and restaurants.

What is one thing from your bucket list you hope to do next year? I plan to purchase some property up north near a lake!

Other fun fact about yourself you would like to share with our students? I am a licensed scuba diver.
