The Curiosity Cup – A Global SAS® Student Competition

| January 15, 2024
Submitted by Guillermo Murphy & Carolyn Colwell for Student Experience - Academic

The Curiosity Cup is the ultimate group project that will test – and grow – your knowledge of data science and analytics.

Teams of 2-4 students and a faculty advisor choose an analytics topic that ignites their curiosity and use SAS software to learn from the data and answer big questions. Teams submit papers during the first round and describe their analysis in a video presentation during the second round.

Industry experts judge entries based on data preparation, analysis and presentation, organization, use of visuals, and subject matter knowledge.

Details:

  • Register here by Wednesday, January 31.
    • Round 1 – After registering your team, papers can be submitted until Wednesday, February 21. Up to 15 teams will be selected for Round 2 by Wednesday, March 6.
    • Round 2 – Video presentations are due by Wednesday, March 27.
  • Winners and runner-ups will be announced at SAS Innovate, taking place from April 16-19.
