Get to know Katie McKinnon, Jack Baker, and Stef Prodea of Welo Probiotics

Meet the co-founders of Welo Probiotics! Hear from three entrepreneurs about what it took to turn their passion for health and wellness into their full-time careers. All three of these DeGroote Alumni play an integral role within their organization. Hear them speak about how they have each built out their roles within the company and how their connections to DeGroote continue to help them as Welo continues to grow.

Having met in university, our passion for health and nutrition is what brought us together to create Welo. — Stef, Jack, Katie, co-founders

The Get to Know DeGroote series is about the stories of our alumni, their career journeys, and what it means to be part of the DeGroote School of Business community. Keep up with the series: https://bit.ly/2Imm4Fa.

As seen on Dragons’ Den, Welo’s (short for We Love) locally-made bars and beverages are low in sugar and full of plant-based ingredients and probiotics. With over 2 million bars sold, our bars are both kid and parent-approved. Best of all, proceeds from every purchase support water or education projects in Kikima, Kenya.
