F.O.C.U.S Week – Embracing Creativity (November 21-25)
Body Mind Spirit Reflection Circle: Wednesday, November 23, 3:30-4:20 p.m., in person
Watercolors as spiritual practice: Try a 4-step process for creating art with intention that opens you to your creativity and spirituality. Reflect on your life and what you need for this last part of the term through guided mindfulness practice and creating with watercolor paints, without an expected outcome. No experience needed.
Live Awake Outdoor Circle: Thursday, November 24, 4:30-5:20 p.m., in person
Renew Creativity for Schoolwork: Find it challenging to get into flow with your studying, research or assignments? Having difficulty knowing how to begin? This week try out quick creative exercises that help spark your creative flame and renew energy from within. Learn from nature, share ideas and strategies, hear from others, and explore creativity through guided movement and writing exercises.
Mindfulness Circle: Friday, November 25, 12:30-1:20 p.m., in person
Creativity without Judgement: This week we’ll explore music-listening as meditation, with the option to respond with freeform drawing – practice intentional deep listening and creating as a moment-by-moment experience, without pressure to produce a final product. No artistic or musical experience needed!
Cozy Reading Circle – Tuesday, November 22, 4:30-5:30 p.m., online
Join us at our Cozy Reading Circle to find meaning, mindfulness, and companionship in reading. Here we will strive to engage in an open and healthy discussion of one book each term. You can bring your own book or studying to read, or choose to read along with our book of the term. So settle down for an hour to rest, reset and refresh the mind, body and soul!
