The BCom Academic team is part of a larger DeGroote Student Experience team that you will get to know during your time in the program. We can assist you with program options, course selection, missed coursework, experiential opportunities, and more!

Meet Lori Johnston, Academic Advisor:

What do you do and how long have you been at DSB? I assist with all student needs, I have been at McMaster for 22 years and at DeGroote for 12.

What is the best piece of advice you would give a new student? Keep on top of your schoolwork and make time for self-care whatever it is for you; ex. going for a walk, going to the gym, or spending time with friends.

What is your favourite hobby? Right now, my puppy takes up all my spare time – going for walks and playing with other dogs.

What is your favourite Hamilton location to visit or restaurant to eat at? I enjoy going to Pier 8 for walks in the summer and for skating in the winter.

What is your favourite food to bring for lunch at work? Snacks – I eat all day long when I am in the office.
