National Bank Financial Markets remains committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. To support these commitments, the Financial Markets Diversity scholarship program is aiming to identify, engage and develop students who demonstrate an interest in Financial Markets.
Program Overview
The Financial Markets Diversity scholarship program is dedicated to students interested in a career in Financial Markets who are a member of one or multiple of the following groups: woman, member visible minority, indigenous people, member of the LGBTQ+ community, or person with disabilities. This initiative encourages students to gain valuable hands-on work experience and to get acquainted with National Bank Financial Markets culture and organization, as they continue their pursuit of either an Undergraduate or a Master degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Artificial Intelligence, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or any related field.
The Opportunity
As a recipient of the program, you would receive a $10,000 scholarship, a paid internship opportunity as well as mentorship with senior leaders leading up to your arrival at National Bank Financial Markets to ensure you are positioned for success. The internship will take place in 2024 in our Corporate & Investment Banking or Sales & Trading areas depending on your skill set and area of interest.
Eligibility
- You are part of one or multiple of the following groups; woman, visible minority, indigenous people, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, or a person with disabilities
- You have a strong academic record with relevant extra-curricular participation
- You have an interest in pursuing a career in capital markets
- You are legally eligible to work in Canada
