A traditional full-time course-load is five courses per term, but there are a variety of reasons why a student may wish to reduce their course load.

What you need to know:

  • To reduce your course load, only enroll in the number of courses you are comfortable taking per term.
  • To be considered a full-time student status, you need to enrol in at least 9 units per term.
    • Please note: This does not include 0 unit courses such as Commerce 1GR0 or Commerce 2IN0. The last number on a course code indicates the number of units a class is worth.
  • To be a considered a part-time student status, you only need to enroll in 3 or 6 units per term.
